Today families have more educational choices than ever, and online learning is leading the way in offering versatile, innovative solutions tailored to diverse student needs. And National School Choice Week (Jan. 26-Feb. 1), is a great time for families to consider how Insight Academy of Arizona (ISAZ) can transform their children’s educational experience.

Why ISAZ?

ISAZ is a public online charter school powered by K12 that meets the needs of diverse student populations through its innovative use of technology, state-certified teachers trained in delivering virtual instruction and partnerships with families and communities. ISAZ empowers students to think critically and achieve academic success and personal growth. ISAZ is devoted to making quality public education accessible for all Arizona students—regardless of geographic, financial or demographic circumstances—and providing online education alternatives that are as unique as the students we serve.

From aspiring software developers to budding entrepreneurs, ISAZ offers career-focused pathways with engaging STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) classes. These programs help students explore their interests while earning industry-recognized certifications.

Flexibility to Succeed

At ISAZ, students work at their own pace, adjusting the amount of time they spend on topics based on their rate of understanding. Online classes and adaptable schedules allow students the time to pursue their passions, participate in extracurricular and outside programs or prepare for the post-secondary education of their choice.

In addition to working toward their high school diplomas, ISAZ students can explore career and technical education pathways. The virtual school offers two-year specialty exploration courses to introduce middle schoolers to more than 15 fields and industries. Courses in business management, information technology, marketing, health and human services, and more are available to all high school students.

“I [was] a student at ISAZ since I was in the 7th grade,” 2024 ISAZ graduate Sarah Israel said. “In two and a half years, my advisor and lifelong mentor and CTE teacher guided me to the best tools for success. It wasn’t the college courses or the time invested in us. It was comfort, trust and confidence. Those are the tools they gave me to become a medical assistant at 16, and I [was able to] finish high school in three years instead of four.”

Credit Recovery Opportunities

With online learning through ISAZ, it’s never too late to get your student’s academics back on track. The online credit recovery high school courses at ISAZ work much like the online school programs. Courses can start anytime and be completed from anywhere there’s an internet connection. Families and schools work together on solutions for students previously enrolled in a course but did not achieve a passing grade.
