Our Students Get the Best of Both Worlds: Online Learning with Plenty of In-Person Fun! 

At Insight Academy of Arizona (ISAZ), we know that being an online middle and high school student doesn’t mean our students miss out on opportunities to connect and socialize. We’re committed to providing not just a flexible, high-quality education, but also meaningful opportunities to socialize and build relationships with peers. 

Recently, we hosted one of our most exciting in-person events of the year: a field trip to Heritage Park Zoo in Prescott, AZ! Over 130 students from Insight Academy of Arizona and Arizona Virtual Academy came together for a day filled with adventure, wildlife, and connection. It was the perfect chance for our students to step outside the virtual classroom, meet their peers in person, and explore something new alongside their teachers and families. 

The highlight of the trip? An up-close animal presentation featuring tortoises, ferrets, and more! Students not only got to see these creatures up close but also learned fascinating facts about wildlife conservation. The zoo tour itself offered everyone the chance to learn together and share thoughts on everything from exotic animals to environmental protection. These hands-on experiences make our field trips so memorable—our students walk away with new knowledge, real-life experiences, and friendships that extend beyond the screen. 

For many ISAZ students, this field trip was a chance to meet face-to-face with classmates they’ve been collaborating with. They got to laugh, share stories, and enjoy being together, proving that online learning doesn’t limit their ability to form friendships and create lasting memories. We make sure our students have plenty of opportunities like this throughout the year, with field trips scheduled across Arizona. There’s always something fun on the horizon!
