From Rodeo Dreams to Academic Success: Adeline’s Journey with Insight Academy of Arizona

Adeline’s journey is an inspiring story of balancing a passion for rodeo with academic success. As a recent graduate of Insight Academy of Arizona (ISAZ) and a 2024 Junior Ambassador at Prescott Frontier Days, Adeline’s experience highlights how ISAZ’s dynamic online learning platform helped her pursue her dreams without compromising her education.

Adeline joined ISAZ during the second semester of her junior year, opting for a more personalized learning environment that allowed her to manage her rigorous rodeo schedule. “It gave me time to practice with my horses and travel without missing days in person at school,” she recalls. The ability to school with ISAZ while on the road offered her the freedom to focus on her rodeo commitments while still completing her coursework. “It was really nice to have the ability to rewatch the classes if I missed them and get my homework done,” she adds.

As a dedicated member of the Yavapai County Junior Rodeo Association, Adeline competed in breakaway, team and ribbon roping, and steer stopping. ISAZ’s self-paced curriculum enabled her to balance these demanding activities while maintaining her academic responsibilities.

In July 2024, Adeline was selected as one of six high school students from Yavapai County to serve as a Junior Ambassador at Prescott Frontier Days, the World’s Oldest Rodeo. This prestigious role allowed her to work behind the scenes with mentors, gaining hands-on experience in rodeo operations. “I learned how to always pay attention and be aware of my surroundings,” Adeline reflects. “I became more time efficient as well as a great team player.”

During her week as a Junior Ambassador, Adeline assisted with timed rodeo competitions and worked closely with other ambassadors and rodeo professionals. This experience not only reinforced her passion for rodeo but also helped her develop valuable skills like teamwork and time management. “Watching the rodeo community come together, especially here in Prescott, was one incredible thing to be a part of,” she says. “I had an amazing time with my mentors and peers around me.”

Since graduating from ISAZ in May 2024, Adeline has embarked on her next chapter: pursuing a veterinary degree at Central Arizona College. Her time at ISAZ provided her with the academic foundation and adaptable learning structure to explore her interests and passions fully, setting her up for success in her future endeavors.
